About Samantha Bacon:
Samantha Bacon designs unique colour schemes for interiors and exteriors of residential and commercial properties. Samantha specifies the colour, product and finish for every aspect of a renovation or new build including bricks, windows, roofing, hard landscaping, kitchen and bathroom surfaces, paint, flooring, furnishings and fabrics. Samantha can deliver a full interior decorating service including interior styling and space planning.
Samantha graduated from the International School of Colour and Design in 2001. While at the school she achieved two Awards for Excellence, one for her design work and one for her colour skills.
Samantha has completed many colour design and interior decorating projects for both interiors and exteriors in residential and commercial applications in the North Shore area, including chatswood, Roseville, Turramurra and Pymble. Samantha is the resident colour consultant for Hokin Prestige Residential and their latest display home won the Hunter Housing Industry Association's Display home of the Year Award in 2006. Samantha specified all exterior and interior colours and surfaces for this display home.
The International School of Colour and Design in Sydney invited Samantha to become an educator in 2004. Initially, she taught short courses in interior decoration and then went on to teach the colour consulting diploma course which included colour design for interiors, exteriors and a module on history, styles and trends. Samantha assisted in the design of a creative garden design course and the adaptation of the school's short interior decorating course to a correspondence course.
Since 2002 Samantha has been a regular contributor to various magazines published by Express Publications. These include Country Home Ideas, Country Decorator, Your Backyard and My Home magazine. For the past three years each month Samantha has contributed a colour feature for both Modern Home and Country Home Ideas and is the resident expert on colour for their two websites www.countryhomeideas.com.au and www.modernhomemag.com.au. Samantha has also contributed articles on future colour trends.
Samantha lives on the NSW Central Coast and also caters to clients located in Pennant Hills, Epping, Asquith, Wahroonga, Hornsby, Thornleigh, Upper North Shore, Hills District and Beecroft.
