Plant description
Armeria 'Bee's Ruby' is a hardy, herbaceous perennial plant with lovely hot pink flowers from spring through summer. It forms attractive, dense cushions of foliage, and is a hardy, easy care plant. The plant has grass-like foliage, so take care not to mistake it for a weed when it is not in flower. The flowers are good cut flowers, and can be used fresh or dried.
Armeria is a tough, adaptable plant that grows on a wide range of soils, and is troubled by few pests or diseases. It makes a good rockery and border plant, as well as being excellent for container growing. Armeria is also good for seaside and poolside plantings, as it is salt tolerant. Armeria likes a sunny or semi shaded position, and is also very frost tolerant. It does not like wet feet.
