Babingtonia virgata 'Howie's Sweet Midget' is a very useful low growing shrub that is virtually maintenance free due to its very compact growth habit. The tiny leaves and bun-shaped growth make it suitable as a low hedge or feature shrub with its bright green foliage and masses of small, starry, white flowers in spring. It grows to around half a metre high and wide. Good for cool temperate to subtropical climates. Very frost and drought tolerant. Feed with a low phosphorus native fertiliser in spring.
