Plant description

Bougainvillea 'Lady Mary Baring' is a vigorous and tough climber with flamboyant orange bracts and small white flowers. It is mostly used for covering fences, pergolas and walls, but can also be used as a groundcover and for spilling over retaining walls. It is a fast growing cultivar which flowers from spring to autumn, and into winter in tropical areas.

Bougainvilleas look great against painted walls, with their bright flowers throughout the warm months. Good for temperate, subtropical to tropical climates. Feed with a good all purpose fertiliser. Trouble free plants with few pests or diseases, but bougainvilleas are very thorny, and care should be taken when handling, it is advisable to wear gloves when pruning. Best in full sun in a well drained soil.
