Plant description

buddleja davidii buddleja buzz purple 1

Buddleja 'Buzz Purple' is a compact and smaller growing variety of the ever popular butterfly attracting shrub. It flowers for most of the year, with sprays of honey scented blooms. A waterwise and easy care plant that tolerates some frost, and does well in most soil types. Likes full sun to part shade, and is great in pots, for massed plantings and as a feature shrub. Plant where you can enjoy the butterflies that will delight in the nectar rich flowers. Give it a handful of complete fertiliser in spring and summer, and some water in very dry periods for best flowering. Trim off dead flowers if needed.

Some people can experience very mild respiratory symptoms at flowering time.
