Plant description

Callistemon viminalis 'Green John' is a dense growing small shrub with bright red bottlebrush flowers in spring. It is like Callistemon 'Little John', but is denser, faster growing, and the foliage is light green, which contrasts nicely with the flowers. It is very resistant to Myrtle rust. Suits sandy to well drained soil, and sun or part shade. Makes a great low hedge plant, and can be trimmed to shape. Bottlebrushes respond well to pruning.
