Plant description

callistemon 'Dawson River Weeper' is a large shrub to small tree with a lovely weeping habit. It has profuse flowering in spring with a follow up in autumn, and birds love the nectar laden bright red flowers. This a great screening plant for a variety of climates and soil types, and makes a good natural hedge if unpruned. Responds well to pruning to size as well. Mulch the plant to keep weed growth in check, and to feed the soil and keep it moist. Frost and drought tolerant once established.
