Plant description

callistemon bottlebrush red rocket 2

callistemon bottlebrush red rocket 1

Callistemon 'Red Rocket' is a gorgeously colourful and very hardy small shrub, great for low maintenance gardens. The new growth is bright red on darker older foliage, and the plant is compact. Good for landscaping impact and also great for containers. Grows to around a metre and a half tall and round, making it suitable for low hedges and screens and for colour contrast with other plants. Suits most soil types including wet and dry soils, also frost tolerant. Can be trimmed to size as it responds well to pruning. Feed in spring and summer with a good all purpose fertiliser. Good in full sun to part shade.
