Plant description

Corymbia hybrid Summer Red

Corymbia 'Summer Red' is an outstanding small tree, with a beautiful display of massed bright red flowers in summer. It has large glossy dark green leaves with a light green reverse with reddish new foliage during the warmer months of the year. A great bird attracting plant, for honey eaters and parrots as well as insects. Will grow to around 5 metres tall. Prefers a well drained soil in a sunny position. This plant is a hybrid of Corymbia ficifolia and Corymbia ptychocarpa, which brings tolerance to humidity combined with the brilliant blooms of the flowering gum.
