Plant description

Cuphea mexicana 'Compacta' is a dwarf and compact shrub to 40 centimetres high, covered with masses of tiny purple flowers for most of the year. Great for landscaping, borders and containers. Likes full sun to part shade. Subtropical in origins, also good for warm temperate and tropical areas. Tolerates light frost and drought once established. Trim if needed, or can be cut back hard to rejuvenate.
