Plant description

Dianella 'Stampede' is a very compact form of Dianella caerulea. It is a strappy leaved clumping perennial with attractive blue-grey foliage. Tough, drought and heat tolerant, a great low maintenance plant for landscaping, borders, pots or as an accent plant. Has attractive purple berries in summer following the blue spring flowers. It grows from underground rhizomes, making this a resiliant plant, and can be cut back hard if needed. It is a good plant for bank stabilisation, as it creates a good mat of foots.
