Plant description

Dipladenia 'Red Riding Hood' is an evergreen twining climbing plant that bears large red flowers that age to pink. They flower mainly in summer, also in spring and autumn. In warmer climates it can flower year round. It has attractive, dark glossy foliage. It is a frost tender plant. It likes bright light to semi shade, but needs some protection from full sun. It is a great climber which can also be used for hanging baskets, trained into a small shrub shape or as a trailing plant over banks. It grows well as a container plant. It is an easy care, mainly trouble free plant.
