Plant description

Fuchsia 'Bittersweet' is an evergreen perennial shrub with pendulous single pink flowers.

Fuchsias like a well drained, fertile soil and regular watering. A lightly shaded position, protected from winds is best. Fertilise regularly through the warmer months. Fuchsias flower on the new growth, so encourage this with feeding and regular pruning. Spring is the best time to prune, with a light pruning in summer to shape if needed. Caterpillars and aphids can be problem pests. Soap spray and picking off of the pests are easy control methods. Tolerates frosts, though it can become deciduous in very cold weather.
