Plant description

Gomphrena 'Pink Gem' is an Australian native version of the globe amaranth. It is a lovely compact annual plant with vivid pink and long lasting flowers from spring through summer and on to autumn. A nice plant for flower gardens and for container growing, and the blooms can be picked for cut flower use. A hardy plant for sunny positions, best in a well drained soil in an open spot. Feed every three months and trim if needed to keep compact. Likes watering if it becomes dry. Butterfly attracting.
