Plant description

Grevillea montana  is a compact shrub with a spreading habit. Unusual delicate green & red flowers are produced for most of the year, and attract birds and other honey eating wildlife. It tolerates some shade and so makes a very useful understorey shrub for lightly shaded gardens. Give it a light trim at the end of spring to keep it tidy. The flowering is not spectacular, but it is a reliable shrub in a wide range of conditions, provided it gets a well drained soil. Feed with a low phosphorus native fertiliser.
