Plant description

Hardenbergia 'Regent' is a hardy, upright shrub rather than a climber, and has large leathery leaves that stand out from the stems. In winter to spring masses of sprays of purple pea flowers cover the bush, which are attractive to birds and insects to the garden. A great pioneer plant for the new garden, hardy and low maintenance. Mass plant in your garden to create a feature or low hedge.  Suitable also as a pot specimen. Trim to shape or to rejuvenate the plant after flowering. Feed with a good native fertiliser. It was the Shrub of the Year in 2009, a good recommendation to add this to your garden!
