Plant description

Helichrysum italicum is a perennial herb with silver grey foliage and yellow clusters of flowers in summer. The flowers can be dried for everlasting arrangements. The foliage is strongly herbal scented, and the flowers are medicinal, having anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. It needs a sunny spot in well drained and open soil. Tolerates light frosts. grows to half a metre tall and a metre wide.

Propagation is by tip or semi hardwood cuttings.
