Lomandra longifolia Katrinus Deluxe 3

Lomandra longifolia 'Katrinus Deluxe' is clumping grass-like perennial, and is an easy care plant that is rarely troubled by pests or diseases.  ‘Katrinus Deluxe’ is a select cultivar of the common variety of Lomandra 'Katrinus'. It has finer leaves and larger flowers. Katrinus Deluxe is ideal for compact gardens or for gardeners wanting a more refined, absolutely uniform look. It has masses of perfumed yellow flowers in spring. Great as a background or specimen plant, or for mass planting in the garden.

Lomandra grow well in full sun to shaded positions. The foliage can be cut back by half every couple of years to remove tired older leaves, and to encourage new foliage growth.

The flowers are edible, and the tough, fibrous leaves can be used to weave baskets and mats.
