Plant description
Lomandra longifolia 'Katrinus' is a clumping grass-like perennial with broad lime green foliage and masses of perfumed yellow flowers in spring. Great as a background or mass planting in the garden.
Lomandra grows in sandy to clay soils, and full sun to shaded positions. It is a hardy and easy care plant, that is rarely troubled by pests or diseases. The foliage can be cut back by half every couple of years to remove tired older leaves, and to encourage new foliage growth.
The flowers are edible, and the tough, fibrous leaves can be used to weave baskets and mats.
