Plant description

Oleander is a long flowering evergreen shrub or small tree. Tolerant of drought and poor soils, it makes a good landscaping plant. The flowers come in a range of colours from white, apricot, pink, red, pale yellow, and make a nice display.

Oleanders are a generally trouble free plant for the garden. They can be pruned to shape, but care must be taken as oleander is poisonous, though they don't cause skin problems.

Oleander has been widely cultivated for thousands of years. It originates from the Asian Middle East,  Europe and North Africa.
