Plant description

Philodendron Xanadu is an evergreen low perennial, valued as a dramatic, easy care foliage plant, that can be used as a garden plant, container plant, or indoor plant. It has a compact growth habit, with large, shiny lobed leaves, and will give a tropical feel to an area. It is a good plant to use around a pool, as it a low mess plant.

Philodendrons can be grown in a wide range of climates, from tropical, sub-tropical to temperate areas. In cooler climates thay can be grown in sheltered areas, indoors, patios or in greenhouses. They can be grown in a sheltered full sun or part shade position, and will also grow in full shade, though the growth will tend to be leggy and sparser in full shade. Water regularly through the warmer months, but give less water in the colder months to avoid rotting. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring, or liquid feed through spring and summer.
