Plant description
Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Golf Ball' is a small, vigorous, evergreen shrub with small, mint green, glossy leaves and inconspicuous reddish-purple flowers. It forms a dense, round shape with little pruning needed, and is a great small hedge plant or border plant. It grows to around half a metre high and wide. It can be trimmed for topiary work. It is a hardy and adaptable plant, and is frost tolerant. Also good for coastal plantings, as they are salt tolerant.
Pittosporum grow in a wide range of climates, from cool, temperate, subtropical to tropical. They also suit a wide range of soil types. They will perform best in a moist, fertile, well drained soil. Mulch is beneficial to deter weeds.
