Plant description
Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Sheen' is a fast growing, vigorous, evergreen tall shrub with small, silvery green, glossy leaves and inconspicuous reddish-purple flowers. It is a great hedge plant. It grows to around four metres high two and a half metres wide if left unpruned, but can be pruned to height and shape. It canalso be used for topiary work. It is a hardy and adaptable plant, and is frost tolerant.
Pittosporum grow in a wide range of climates, from cool, temperate, subtropical to tropical. They also suit a wide range of soil types. It will perform best in a moist, fertile, well drained soil. Mulch is beneficial to deter weeds.
