Plant description

syzygium bush christmas 001

syzygium bush christmas 002

Syzygium 'Bush Christmas' is a medium-sized, dense shrub with mid-sized glossy green leaves and white powder-puff flowers followed by pinkish fruits. The pleasantly sour fruit can be eaten, either fresh or made into jams and jellies. The fruit also attracts birds. A great feature, screen, hedge or topiary plant that is also good for pots. It will grow to around 5 metres tall, but can be pruned down to a metre high and wide. Will perform best in a good soil and full sun. Feed with a good general purpose fertiliser in the warm months.
