Plant description

Syzygium Beachball' is a low maintenance small shrub with medium sized glossy dark green foliage and contrasting pink new growth. It grows to a neat metre and a half high and wide. It has medium sized white flowers in summer and autumn which are followed by magenta fruits. The fruit is edible and can be made into jams. A great feature, screen, hedge or topiary plant that is also good for pots. Tolerates winds, and light frosts. Likes a moist soil but can take periods of dry weather once established. Good for most soils.
