Plant description
Telopea 'Braidwood Brilliant' is a great waratah to grow, with smaller deep red flowers in abundance in spring. It is a cross between Telopea speciosissima and Telopea monganensis, which gives it hybrid vigour. It is a dense small shrub with broad deep green foliage, and has medium sized flat flower heads. A great feature shrub for general garden beds or rockeries. Also suitable for a large container and is a great cut flower that is also bird attracting. Prefers a deep well drained soil. Mulch well to deter weed growth, and feed in spring with a good native fertiliser or blood and bone. Likes sun or part shade. Prune after flowering to encourage a more dense habit and to keep tidy.
