Plant description

Tibouchina 'Allure' is a new variety of Tibouchina, with profuse large mauve flowers, peaking in autumn and spring. It is a tough and hardy plant and grows to around a metre high and 2 metres wide on a compact dome shaped shrub. It grows in a sunny to part shaded position, and in most soil types. It prefers a moist soil. It is good as an informal hedging plant as well as for general garden planting. It will give fast results, and is an easy care plant, being troubled by few pests or diseases. Feed with a slow release fertiliser after flowering. Protect from heavy frost.

Tibouchina 'Allure' is an Australian bred plant. They are native from Mexico to Brazil.
