Plant description

Tradescantia zebrina is a low growing perennial plant with silvery grey leaves strikingly striped with maroon to deep green. It is a hardy plant with thick juicy stems which will cascade or creep depending on the plant placement. It looks good in hanging baskets and in pots where it will make a mass of foliage, but if planted in warm areas in the garden it can become invasive. Good in sun to part shade. Frost tender. Can be grown indoors in a well lit location.

This plant can cause skin irritation when handled.
