Plant description

Tricyrtus formosana, the toad lily, is a perennial plant with interesting flowers, white heavily spotted with rich purple. It is autumn flowering and the plant will form a clump from its underground rhizomes. The foliage is glossy green and attractive. It likes a shaded spot in the garden. It does not like overly wet soil, but is frost tolerant.

Propagation is by dividing the plant and replanting each clump.
