Plant description

Viburnum odoratissumum is a fast growing shrub to 4 metres tall and wide. It has leathery green leaves with clusters of fragrant white flowers in late spring. The flowers are followed by red berries which age to black. It has a dense growth habit, making it a good formal or informal hedge plant or screening plant. Tolerates light frost once established. The foliage is good for cut flower bunches.

Viburnum likes a sunny position to part shade. It prefers a good fertile soil, but tolerates a wide range of soil types. It responds well to pruning.
