Plant description

Westringis 'Jervis gem' is a great tough native shrub with soft grey-green foliage and mauve flowers. It forms a neat rounded shape and grows to a metre hign and wide. Makes a good low hedge and responds well to pruning, also for topiary work. Grows in a wide range of soils, and is well suited to coastal positions, as it is very salt tolerant. Likes sun and part shade. Feed with a low phosphorus native fertiliser. Withstands drought and frost, a great low maintenance plant.
