Plant description

Alyssum 'Carpet of Snow' is an easy to grow small annual that is covered with tiny white flowers for many months. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and bees, and are scented. It is a hardy and easy care plant with few pests and diseases. It grows well in sun or part shade, and in a wide range of soil types. It is fast to flower from seed, and is good for edging in garden beds, or in containers. It will often self seed in the garden once planted.

Propagation is by seed, which is fine. It should be scattered where it is to grow and raked in. It should be planted all year round in temperate areas, autumn and winter in tropical to sub-tropical areas, and spring and autumn in cold areas.
