Plant description

Dietes 'White Tiger' is a clump forming rhizomatous perennial, with iris like flowers on variegated strappy foliage. Normal green foliaged Dietes is a garden and landscaping favourite due to its hardy and easy care nature, and 'White Tiger' adds year round interest from the green and white striped foliage. This plant will grow in full sun or part shade, and is very drought tolerant once established. It is frost and salt tolerant, and will grow in most soil types that are free draining. It produces white, mauve and yellow flowers in spring. It is rarely troubled by pests or diseases.

Parts of this plant are poisonous. It can also cause skin irritation in some people.
