Plant description

This is an upright medium shrub with pinlike leaves, divided once or twice, and large colourful flowerheads. One of the more spectacular species from Western Australia, this Grevillea bears flowers which resemble the Bottlebrush flower, as the name suggests. Grows best in warm temperate or semi-arid regions, but can be grown as a container plant in cool temperate regions. This shrub makes a great screen or feature plant, the spiky foliage provides a refuge for wildlife such as small birds, and can help to direct foot traffic in the garden.
