Plant description

Hebe 'Snowdrift' is a small compact evergreen shrub with prolific white spikes of flowers from summer through to autumn. The flowers attract butterflies. It is fast growing to around a metre high and wide, and is an easy care plant. It is suited to a sunny position, as well as partial shade, and likes a well drained soil. It is tolerant of dry periods once established. It is well suited to low hedging, as it is a naturally dense growing plant. It is salt tolerant, so is good for coastal and poolside plantings. High humidity can cause leaf spotting and mildew. Prune after flowering to encourage the dense habit.
