Plant description

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Jayella' is one of the dinner plate sized flowering hibiscus, with gloriously coloured orange flowers with a contrasting red eye and yellow edging. The foliage is glossy green and dense. A tropical plant that likes warmth and plenty of moisture and fertilsing to be at its best, it is great for hedging and screening. Responds well to pruning, which will encourage a more dense habit. Feed with a good all purpose fertiliser in spring and summer. Can also be grown in a large container. Best in full sun. Can be attacked by hibiscus beetle, which can decimate the foliage.
