Plant description

Miscanthus sinensis 'Gold Bar' is a slow growing clump forming perennial grass with eye catching horizontal stripes of green and gold on the arching leaves. It has burgundy inflorescences in autumn when the plant is mature. It can be used as a specimen plant, or for massed plantings and containers. It performs best in a fertile, moist, well drained soil in a sunny position. It is tolerant of most conditions. It is rarely troubled by pests or diseases. It is frost hardy once established.
