Plant description

Ptilotus 'Outback Princess Purity' is an eye catching but short-lived herbaceous perennial. The dark green leaves are a great contrast to the unsual white feathery flower heads reputedly produced all year round. The flowers are great for picking. Good for sunny rockeries and borders or in a decorative pot. Tolerant of heat and drought when established. Needs a well drained soil, a sunny spot. Best in southern states as Ptilotus resent humidity. Only fertilise with low phosphorus native plant food.
