Plant description

Anigozanthos 'Yellow Gem' is a tall variety of kangaroo paw, with bicoloured red and yellow flowers on highly branched stems. Flowering is from spring to summer, and will attract all sorts of nectar feeders. Also great cut flowers.  A very tough kangaroo paw, with great garden performance. Grows to 2 metres tall. Plant is full sun in a well drained soil. Once established, old tired sections can be cut back hard to the ground to remove discoloured leaves and finished flower stems. It is a hybrid of Anigozanthos flavidus and A. pulcherimus.
