Plant description

Callistemon viminalis 'Scarlet Flame' is a dwarf and compact fine leafed shrub with red bottlebrush flowers. It produces flushes of rusty red new growth in spring and autumn. It is self cleaning once flowering is finished. A good plant for low growing hedges, as it has a naturally dense habit. It responds well to pruning if a tidier, clipped look is required. Tolerates drought and cold, and will suit a wide variety of soils. Will grow in full sun to part shade. A terrific showy, yet low maintenance plant.
