Plant description

Hibiscus are a popular woody shrub, grown for the spectacular flowers that come in a glorious range of colours and combination of colours. Most associated with Hawaii, in fact several species are also from China.

Hibiscus loves sun and warmth. It responds well to pruning, and good feeding is essential for good flowering. Hibiscus can be container grown. They prefer a moist soil high in organic matter.
