Plant description

Hydrangea macrophylla 'White Knight' is a mop top variety of hydrangea with large white flowers, dark green foliage and stunning black contrasting stems. Hydrangea macrophylla is a tough and adaptable deciduous shrub that is frost tolerant, but can also take high temperatures. It is easy to grow with minimal maintenance, and will bring colour to shady areas of the garden. The flowers make good cut flowers, and can also be dried. Once established, the plant is reasonably dry tolerant, if given occasional deep watering. Feed in early spring with a slow release fertiliser. If pruning is required, cut back in winter, just above the plump buds. It is troubles by few pests or diseases.
