Plant description

Kennedia nigricans has most unusual and beautiful black and yellow flowers and handsome dark green foliage. This vigorous Australian climber is a great eye catching addition to the garden, and it is very easy care. It is long flowering, from spring through summer. Use it as a feature climber on fences and other structures or as a ground cover. It does grow large, so grow where you can give it room. Give it a trim after it flowers if you feel it is needed to tidy up the plant. Mulch the roots to keep them cool and to conserve moisture, and to deter weeds.
