Liriope muscari 'variegata' is a tough and hardy perennial with strappy leaves of striped green and silver. It has purple flowers that contrast nicely with the foliage. It does well in most soils, and likes good drainage. good for full sun, part sun and full shade. The variegated leaves will light up a darker spot. Does well in difficult spots like under trees and eaves. Good for coastal sites. Drought tolerant once established. Looks beautiful in containers where the leaves can arch over the edge.
