Plant description

Syzygium 'Big Red' is a medium sized dense shrub with large, glossy leaves with dark crimson new growth. Summer sees a flush of white fluffy flowers which are bird attracting, followed by edible berries, though pruning will deter these. A great feature, screen, hedge or topiary plant that is also good for pots. A very popular lilly pilly, and a good native substitute for photinia.
