Plant description

Thysanotus 'Frilly Knickers' is a clumping grass-like perennial with attractive narrow bluish-green foliage. It has masses of mauve flowers, which are delicately fringed. Good for a sunny rockery, raised bed, border or in a pot. Can be short lived in high humidity. Best in well drained soils, for a sunny to partly shaded spot. Feed with a good native fertiliser. When not flowering, the plant can look like grass, so it may be a good idea to mark it in some way to prevent weeding accidents.
