Plant description

This is primarily a plant grown for its striking pinkish red new foliage that ages to a green and white variegation. It is a clumping style of plant that is perfect for narrow spaces and pot culture. It is also useful as an extensive landscape plant for roadside areas and the like. 'Rainbow' is extremely tough and tolerates coastal conditions, drought, shade and moderate frosts. Give it a clean up after it has finished flowering and fruiting by removing the spent stems and any dead or damaged leaves.
