Plant description

Torenia 'Viva Sol' is a really useful flowering perennial plant for shade as well as sun, and will have masses of gorgeous bright yellow flowers with a contrasting maroon throat from early spring all the way through to autumn. The blooms are brighter and larger in shade and with regular fertilising through the warm months. Best performance is in part shade in well drained but moist soil, but also does well in other conditions. Great for pots, spilling over banks and as a dense groundcover. Rarely troubled by pests apart from the occasional caterpillar.
